Tried this dessert spot in Old Sacramento and it did not disappoint. My wife got the Strawberry Cheesecake, I went with the Dulce de Leche. Both were unreal. The texture is super light and fluffy, almost like fresh shaved snow, not your typical shaved ice. The Strawberry Cheesecake had great flavor without being overly sweet, and the Dulce de Leche was rich and smooth with just the right balance. Parking can be a little tough to find, but it’s definitely worth the stop if you’re looking for something different for dessert.

The ice cream was good, not anything out of the ordinary. The cute decor is overrated on the reviews. The service satisfied customer needs, but it wasn't exactly friendly. I don't know that I would go back with so many places to choose from. They charged a service charge and asked for a tip. Why do they charge a service fee of 4% if they ask for tips? Where does the service charge go? This feels like deceptive pricing.

Stopped by Vampire Penguin out of curiosity — the place looks fun and colorful with cute penguin-themed decor. They have a wide range of shaved snow desserts and the presentation is nice. However, the taste didn’t really live up to the look. The shaved snow was okay but not super flavorful, and for the price, it felt a bit expensive for what you get. Staff were friendly and the place was clean, but overall it’s more of a “try once” kind of spot than a must-visit.

My order was a taro Boba with Mango Jelly. Mango jelly was great. Taro flavor was okay and it wasn’t well mixed. The drink was very warm. Definitely could be made better. Maybe Blender in ice to help with coldness and then add ice in cup with mango jelly at the bottom.
